Bronies for Obama 2012 by K-B-Jones Bronies for Obama 2012 by K-B-Jones
Obama is seeking support from an underrepresented minority group.

Actually, I'm not sure why I made this. I'm not a brony. I've never even seen the show. But I wanted to explore drawing in a cutesy style and what's more kiddie-cute than a pony?

Plus, I just find it hilarious for some reason, but I'm not sure why. I think I'm poking fun at both Obama and ponies, but I really can't explain the joke. It's probably only funny in my own head. But it's still a pretty picture, right?

Nearly every brony I know voted for Obama. Even the Republican ones, though largely due to a lack of a viable alternative.

Well, there'd be very few "Bronies for Romney", considering the fandom doesn't like logic, but I'm one of 'em.

I'm actually not a bronie. I just thought a pony would be fun to draw. I think bronies are silly. Sorry, but I do. Grown people watching ponies? Yeah, silly. But, hey, I like Megamind, so who am I to judge, really? Lots of people like silly things. It's fine.

However, I think it's entirely logical to support Obama.

He's been in office almost 4 years and the country's not doing so bad. I mean, yeah, it's still recovering from the recession, but the recession wasn't his fault. It was going down when he took office and he's managed to pull it back up to where it was when he started. More time and it will improve even more. It's not exactly fair to get all mad at him for the economy. It takes time for an economy to recover from what hit ours, but it IS recovering.

Further, he managed to get Obamacare passed. It isn't perfect and doesn't contain everything he wanted, but it's a vast improvement over what we had. Now people can't get kicked off their plan for getting sick, can't be denied coverage due to a pre-existing condition, can't be charged more for being female, etc. There are literally people who are alive today because of the health care they were able to get because of Obamacare that would be dead today, otherwise.

His guys killed Bin Laden.

He believes in equal rights and equal pay for all people regardless of gender, race, religion, or sexual orientation.

He recognizes that some problems, like immigration are messy and don't have any really good, perfect solutions. But he's trying, like with the Dream Act.

His people reorganized FEMA so that it was ready to help after a disaster like Hurricane Sandy much better than they did with Hurricane Katrina under Bush.

He cares about what's right for all Americans, not just the rich people that are mostly Mitt Romney's concern. Romney thinks that, if you're poor, it's because you didn't work hard enough. That you're lazy and want to mooch off the rest of us. Obama knows that, if you aren't born with a silver spoon in your mouth, you can work your butt off every day and still be poor. You can even still be so impoverished that you need help to feed yourself and your kids.

Obama knows that trickle-down economics has never worked before, and it HAS been tried. What grows the middle class is to to pay good wages and get the money circulating well, not lock it up in corporate investments that only make the rich richer and the poor poorer. There are historical precedents. Ayn Rand does not represent Christian values. She was an Atheist! And not the sort of secular humanist atheist I am, but a selfish, immoral person who believed one should look after oneself only and everyone else is on their own.

Mitt Romney has had so many positions on the issues, it's hard to keep track. But one thing is clear. He's an uber-rich man who wants what's good for his uber-rich donors and everyone else can look after themselves. Even when he tries to help the less fortunate, it's merely a transparent bid for a photo-op. Nothing with substance.

And he's a liar. He's constantly saying things that his campaign later has to correct. He continues to run campaign ads that have been debunked by everyone. He lies about car companies moving jobs to China that even the car companies call him out on.

There's just so many logical reasons to vote for Obama and none I can see to vote for Romney.

It's rare to see the truth so well and categorically articulated. Beautifully stated.

Thanks. I could go on, but that's what I could think of off the top of my head. I mean, he's not perfect, but I trust him about a thousand percent more than I trust Romney. I'm so glad he won. :)
