I'm a freelance illustrator, have been for most of a decade now, and I take commissions. I have my own website, which is really the best place to see my portfolio and to contact me, but I'm trying out the commission thing on deviantArt here to see how that goes. I'm not very active on here, so my follower count is pretty pitiful, but I'll give it a shot. 🤞

Wacom Stylus

So, you need some information on me.

I'm exclusively a digital artist. I work with a wacom cintiq screen tablet and usually use Adobe Photoshop. I have worked with Adobe Illustrator before, but I'm not an expert with it.

I'm a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators and I've got a great art rep with Storybook Arts, Inc.

This is a part-time gig for me lately, but I'd love to get enough commissions to go full-time.

Giant Robot Invasion!

I have illustrated ten children's books now and lots of spots for kid's textbooks and things. The budget's usually pretty low on those, so I can't make them as pretty as some of the pieces in my portfolio, but I still enjoy the work. My favorite subjects, when I get a chance to draw them, are monsters and robots and 10-year-old girls caught in the scary parts of exciting adventures.

Orc Dad

I'm a bit of a geek, though less so now that I'm A Responsible Adult. I grew up drawing Gargoyles characters and fantasy creatures in class. I took almost every art class in my high school but studied computer programming in college. I spent breaks between classes hanging out with the guys playing Magic the Gathering in the game room. (Those cards had such pretty illustrations!) I've got a picture of myself with a Ferengi in Vegas, met my husband through a LARP, still have enough garb to be mistaken for a participant at our local Ren Fest, and I am so proud that my two girls like playing D&D like their father and I. I like looking through the D&D manuals mostly for the drawings, and we listen to Critical Role podcasts on road trips. I'm usually a little slow to get around to binging the latest TV series, but this year I drew aligator!Loki and Sweet Tooth after watching those shows.

Sweet Tooth

It's getting late, so I'll leave it there tonight. I'll work up a price sheet in the coming days as I have time. But feel free to contact me before that if you have any questions.
